Dr. Alana Shaw has dedicated her practice to the advancement of integrative medicine and women’s health. She aspires to work in collaboration with your entire healthcare team in order to provide the highest standard of care possible. After studying reproductive endocrinology, infertility, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Dr. Shaw spent several years working closely alongside Dr. Anthony Cheung MD at the Grace Fertility Centre. She is a regular speaker and presenter at local and national conferences and is a co-founder of Campfire Professional Development in Medicine and also Mint Integrative Health Inc. Dr. Shaw is dual licensed as a registered acupuncturist and naturopathic physician, and has advanced naturopathic training in obstetrics, pediatrics and gynecology. Her compassionate approach to medicine is informed by her personal experiences with cancer, pcos, pregnancy loss and perinatal trauma.
Dr. Shaw received her undergraduate degree (BSc.) from McMaster University where she also enjoyed a successful varsity basketball career. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003. Dr. Shaw is a mom of 2, dog lover and fitness enthusiast.
